The new Audi A5 and S5 Sportback.

Audi A5 Sportback and S5 Sportback: they combine the design of a coupe with the functionality of an Avant. The powerfully flowing outline with the characteristic waveform of the shoulder line makes them truly aesthetic. Under the beautiful shell, the five-door model impresses with a newly developed chassis, powerful engine and innovative infotainment, as well as connectivity solutions.

Emotional forms: the design

Balanced proportions, a sporty front and characteristic shoulder line - the Audi A5 Sportback and the Audi S5 Sportback are truly aesthetic. The waveform of the shoulder line was already an identifying characteristic of the predecessor and has now been reproduced even more prominently. The tail has clear horizontal and three-dimensional lines.

Sporty and efficient engines

The A5 Sportback features the 2.0 TFSI engine producing 185kW (252hp) and 370Nm. The newly developed 3.0 TFSI in the S5 Sportback generates 260 kW (354 hp) and 500nm. The eight-speed tiptronic, in both the A5 and S5, in combination with quattro drive makes the most of our technology to put powerful excellence on the road.

Standard and optional equipment

State of the art: In the fields of connectivity and infotainment the Audi virtual cockpit with TFT screen (12.3 inches), the Bang & Olufsen sound system with 3D sound and the Audi Rear Seat Entertainment option are available. As standard, the new A5 Sportback and S5 Sportback includes Xenon Plus (LED for S5) headlamps with LED daytime running lights and LED rear lights, Audi MMI Navigation plus with 8.3-inch colour display, a 3-spoke multi-function leather steering wheel, the Audi drive select driving dynamics system, and Audi pre sense city driver assitance systems.

Audi Matrix LED headlights in the new design

The finely drawn headlights harmonise perfectly with the horizontal lines of the front section. The Audi Matrix LED headlights are available for selection as a top level option. Their new light signature feature is a distinctive and focused twin headlamp principle, which is reminiscent of the original quattro.
