Why take just a few CDs with you, when you can have your entire media collection permanently on hand? With the extensive infotainment range in the Audi A6 Avant, you have access to thousands of songs, audio books and podcasts, as well as video DVDs and the latest TV programmes.

TV reception and digital radio reception (DAB)

Pick up analogue and digital (DVB-T) television programmes with teletext or Electronic Programme Guide (EPG) in your A6 Avant, or connect up one or two external AV sources. (For safety reasons, only audio output is available while driving.) With digital radio reception (DAB), you can also enjoy the superior audio quality of digital radio as well as analogue radio stations. Both equipment items are available separately.

Audi music interface

The optional Audi music interface included in MMI navigation plus integrates portable media players such as the Apple iPod (from 4th generation) as well as USB storage media and MP3 players into the Audi MMI. Using selection criteria such as artists, albums, tracks or genres, it is possible to navigate easily through the entire music collection on the storage medium with the MMI controls and the multifunction steering wheel. The Audi music interface requires a special adapter lead that is available from your Audi dealer.

Bang & Olufsen Advanced Sound System

The Bang & Olufsen Advanced Sound System is equipped with 15 speakers, including subwoofer and centre speaker, each with their own amplifier channel. Automatically extending acoustic lenses provide an excellent sound performance and perspective at every seat. Reproduction of 5.1 surround sound is possible. The Bang & Olufsen Advanced Sound System combines advanced technology with innovative design. The polished speaker covers made from aluminium are visual highlights that complement the audio experience.

BOSE surround sound

The BOSE sound system has been specially developed for the acoustic environment in a car interior and offers a magnificent sound experience. 14 speakers including centre speaker and subwoofer together with a 12-channel amplifier with a total output of over 600 watts ensure crystal-clear sound at all seats – in stereo and, depending on source, in 5.1 surround sound. The Acoustic Wave speaker technology of the woofers in the two front doors enables powerful and precise bass reproduction.
