If you cross a lane marking detected by the camera located behind the windscreen, you are given a warning in the form of steering wheel vibration. No warning is given if the turn indicator is set. Which lane markings are picked up by the sensor depends on such factors as the weather, the street lighting and the quality of the markings. Audi lane assist is therefore merely a way of assisting the driver; they must naturally continue to devote their full attention to the road situation. The warning threshold and intensity of vibration are adjustable over three stages at the MMI.
