All about charging

Whether you’re charging at home or on the go, we’ve got you covered. 95% of car journeys in the NZ are less than 30 km so most of your journeys could be covered by charging at home with a home wall box. And with a continuously growing network of charging stations across the country, charging a fully electric or plug-in hybrid vehicle has never been easier or faster.

Charging at home

Over 90 percent of electric and plug-in hybrid charging takes place at home. With safe parking and overnight off-peak electricity rates available, it's no wonder. Charging from home allows you to seamlessly integrate electrified driving into your everyday routine.

Setting up your home for charging

When purchasing an Audi e-tron or plug-in hybrid, it is essential to ensure you can maximise your at-home charging capabilities. Your vehicle will come with an Audi mobile charger, cables, and a wall-mounted bracket that can be installed and connected to either a regular 10amp power socket, 32amp single phase industrial socket (recommended) or 32amp three-phase power socket.

To assist with your setup, Audi New Zealand has partnered with JET Charge to offer our customers complimentary home charging assessments.
