The all-new Audi RS 5 Avant arrives in New Zealand for an exclusive first look

19 June 2026, Auckland, New Zealand – On Wednesday 24 June, New Zealanders will have their first opportunity to experience a new era of Audi Sport as the all-new RS 5 Avant makes its highly anticipated local debut in Britomart, Auckland – the first stop on a nationwide roadshow.

The exclusive showcase marks the first opportunity to see Audi's latest high-performance icon in person, with a pre-production model shipped in from Germany especially for the occasion ahead of its official launch in September this year. 

As Audi's first plug-in hybrid RS model, the RS 5 redefines what performance can be. Delivering an outstanding 470kW of power through a sophisticated high-performance hybrid powertrain, it pairs exhilarating capability with the everyday versatility that has long made the RS Avant one of Audi's most celebrated nameplates.

Since the global announcement of the RS 5 Avant and Sedan models there has been an overwhelming demand from New Zealand customers. New Zealand sells more Audi RS models per head of population than any market in the world, and the response so far reinforces the RS 5’s status as one of Audi’s most anticipated model launches of the year.
