Steering Shaft Recall

Audi AG have discovered that the bolted connection between the steering shaft and the steering rack may not have been tightened to the required torque on your vehicle.

This could lead to the bolted connection coming loose over time, which could result in restrictions when steering the vehicle; in rare cases, a complete failure of the steering cannot be fully ruled out.

For safety reasons, it is necessary to check the steering and to replace the bolted connection. The work required will take approximately half an hour and will, of course, be performed free of charge. Until the check is performed, we recommend only using the vehicle if absolutely necessary.

To book your vehicle to have the recall carried out, please contact your local authorised Audi dealer at your earliest convenience to arrange a suitable time to book in your vehicle.
