The safety of our customers and the reliability and long-term service life of our models represent our top priority. For this reason, Audi conducts programmes to constantly monitor the quality of its products.
Extensive internal analyses have found that, due to its age, the function of the driver airbag on your vehicle may be restricted. In these cases, the protective capabilities of the airbag may be reduced. As a result, it is not possible to rule out an increased risk of injury in the event of an accident. To ensure that the driver airbag functions entirely correctly if required, it is necessary to replace the corresponding gas generator. The work required will take approximately one hour and will, of course, be performed free of charge.
To book your vehicle in to carry out the repair, please contact your local authorised Audi dealership at your earliest convenience to arrange a suitable time to book in your vehicle. Please find on the reverse of this letter a directory of all Audi authorised service centres in New Zealand.
