The safety of our customers and the reliability and long-term service life of our models represent our top priority. For this reason, Audi conducts programmes to constantly monitor the quality of its products.
We have noticed that the gateway control unit fitted under the rear seat bench may be damaged by moisture entering. This may occur if any liquids are spilt in the area of the rear seat bench and/or due to a seal which may not have been made correctly on the vehicle underbody. Resulting damage to the gateway control unit may have effects on vehicle functions. These will be indicated by warning messages in the instrument cluster.
For safety reasons, it is necessary to fit additional protection for the gateway control unit and to rework the seal on the vehicle underbody. The work required will take approximately one hour and will, of course, be performed free of charge.
To book your vehicle in to carry out the repair, please contact your local authorised Audi dealership at your earliest convenience to arrange a suitable time to book in your vehicle. Please find on the reverse of this letter a directory of all Audi authorised service centres in New Zealand.
